The summer timetable of the prayer program in Medjugorje

On Saturdays, after the evening Holy Mass, there will be a prayer for the healing of the soul and body and the glorious mysteries of the Rosary, and from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m., Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

Just a day after the parish of Medjugorje celebrates the feast of its heavenly patron St. James, the 34^th Youth Festival will begin on Wednesday, July 26 - the feast day of Saints Joachim and Anna, parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Easter message of the Apostolic Visitor with a special role for the parish of Medjugorje, Archbishop Aldo Cavalli

I wish you all the best, for you and for me.  However, in this season of Easter, everyone should devote some time, a few hours, to a deep meditation on what Easter is and that means: Christ died for our sins.  This is how we will understand the value of the Cross.  Yet that is to understand that the Lord Jesus, who died for our sins, was buried and resurrected, by the grace of God, by the will of God, is alive!  And that is the transition, Passover - the transition of the Son of God among us.  In the communion we have with Him, in prayer and contemplation, we must make the same transition with Him: enter into the death of sin, and rise again, and enter a new life of conversion and grace.

Like Peter and John, let us run to the empty tomb full of faith, to be assured in Christ's love for us, to be assured in God's faithfulness to the eternal covenant made with the blood of Christ!  Like faithful women, let's announce the good news of the resurrection to the whole world!  As children of the resurrection, let us spread hope, joy and love in this world!  May the Risen One endow us all with his peace!

The annual apparition of our Lady to Mirjana Dragicevic-Soldo on march 18, 2023

The visionary Mirjana Dragicevic-Soldo had daily apparitions from June 24th 1981 to December 25th 1982. During the last daily apparition, Our Lady gave her the 10th secret, and told her that she would appear to her once a year, on the 18th of March. It has been this way through the years. The apparition lasted from  13:33 to 13:39.

Fr. Alard Krzysztof Maliszewski, OFM was elected as the President of the Union of Friars Minor of Europe

Fr. Alard Krzysztof Maliszewski, provincial from Poland, is the new president of the UFME (Unio Fratrum Minorum Europae - Union of the Minor Brothers of Europe).  He will succeed Fr. Miljenko Šteka in this position, and the new vice-president of the UFME is the provincial Fr. Mario Chiarello from Italy.

The XV General Assembly of the Union of Fraternities of Europe - UFME (Unio Fratrum Minorum Europae) is taking place in Medjugorje. This assembly will last until March 3, 2023, and on Tuesday evening, at the end of the second day of this Assembly, The Holy Mass was held in the church of St. James and celebrated by the bishop of the Diocese of Castellaneta, Msgr. Sabino Iannuzzi, a Franciscan who was the president of UFME in 2015.
