Cyclists from Virovitica came to Medjugorje for the Youth Festival

Young cyclists arrived to Medjugorje from Virovitica on July 31, after six of them began their 690 km long journey on July 26. Upon arriving, they prayed at the Statue of Our Lady. For some of them this is the fifth time to come to this place filled with prayer.

Feast of St. James, patron saint of Medjugorje parish celebrated

Feast of St. James, patron saint of Medjugorje parish was solemnly celebrated on Tuesday, July 25, 2017. Holy Masses in Croatian language were celebrated in the parish church at 7,8 am and 7 pm, while the central Holy Mass was celebrated at 11 am in the Garden, by Fr. Ivan Landeka who used to be parish priest in Medjugorje for many years and now serves in the parish of St. Francis in Posuski Gradac.

First pilgrimage to Medjugorje

Valerio Caprino was a member of Swiss Guard at the time of the pontificate of Holy Father Benedict XVI, from 2006/2011. These days he came to Medjugorje for the first time with his wife „I come from Switzerland and I am 31. My wife and I talked to few of our friends who have been here and they all told us we needed to visit Medjugorje, that this place was amazing.

Fr. Desire from the Ivory Coast came to Medjugorje for the eighth time

Fr. Desire comes from the Ivory Coast, parish of Our Lady of the Perpetual Help in Abidjan, capital of the Ivory Coast. He is a priest for eleven years and recently he came to participate at the International Seminar for Priests for the third time. Here is what this young priest said about his experience of Medjugorje:

On Saturday, July 8, the 22^nd International Seminar for Priests was concluded in Medjugorje and 253 priests, deacons and seminarians from 25 countries gathered for this event.

Children without parents came on a free pilgrimage to Medjugorje!

A project called “36 children without parents for 36 years of Our Lady’s apparitions in Medjugorje” is taking place at the moment in Medjugorje. This is something initiated by Luchian Omania from Romania with his friends, and for three years now they are providing money for the trip to Medjugorje.

Franciscan Secular Order Citluk visited Apparition Hill

Prayer for St. Francis is “soul of life and work”, and we, by following his path, as the Franciscan Fraternity, are trying to bring the spirit of the prayer into all we live and work. Prior to the summer recess, we Fraternity of the parish of Christ the King Citluk, decided to spend on Apparition Hill, praying the Rosary.
