On the Feast of St. James the Apostle, July 25, patron of Medjugorje parish, solemn Holy Mass was at 11 am in the garden in the vicinity of the church. The procession with the statute of St. James followed from the church to the garden, and the Apostolic Visitor for Medjugorje parish, Henryk Hoser, was the main celebrant of this Holy Mass. On Thursday, July 25, we will celebrate the Feast of St. James the Great, patron saint of Medjugorje parish. Holy Masses are going to be celebrated at 7, 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. while the central celebration will be at 11 a.m. in the Garden opposite to the ruins of the old church.
The procession with the statue of St. James will begin at 10.45 a.m. and parishioners of Vionica will have the honour to carry the statue this year.

New album of Mario Zovko „Ave Maria Sacred Arias“ is now available in the souvenir shop of the Information Centre Mir Medjugorje, the first album of this author produced since 2007. This project was developed for two years and Zovko is the author of orchestra arrangements and production, vocals were recorded with his old friend Fr. Gordan Bozic, all mentored by another one of his old and good friends, maestro Fr. Dragan Filipovic, while the members of the female vocal group Draca sing as back vocals.

On Monday, July 8, the 24th Spiritual Retreat for the Priests began in Medjugorje with the evening Holy Mass celebrated by dr. fra Miljenko Šteko, the Provincial of Herzegovinian Franciscan Province.
Parishioners of Medjugorje hosted all priests also this year at the retreat held with the theme “Follow me! “ (Mk 10, 21) and will be continued with prayer, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and lectures. (photo)

The spiritual retreat shall be held in Medjugorje from July 8-13, 2019. As in the previous years, several hundreds of priests shall take part in this retreat and in the prayer programme held in the church of St. James.
