Spiritual Movement of the Queen of Peace in the World – Address Book and Coordination

During the 12th International Meeting for Leaders of Medjugorje Peace Centers and Prayer, Pilgrim and Charity groups (March 6 to 10, 2005) we have presented to the participants the first rough copy of the Address Book, which is giving witness of the universality of the spiritual movement inspired by Our Lady’s apparitions in Medjugorje.

The 12th International Meeting for Leaders of Medjugorje Peace Centers and Prayer, Pilgrim and Charity groups took place in Medjugorje from March 6 to 10, 2005. About 120 participants came from about 15 countries. The theme of this encounter was: “The guide and the pilgrim”.

No visas in summer season for citizens of Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary

The Counsel of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina has decided on February 22, 2005, that citizens of Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary do not need the visa for Bosnia and Herzegovina during the period of April 1st to October 31st, 2005.

American-Korean “Queen of Peace Missionary”

These days, Gregory Nam, president of the Association «Queen of Peace Missionary» (see: www.qpmm.org), is on pilgrimage in Medjugorje with a group of American Koreans. The association was founded with the goal of spreading Our Lady’s message to the Koreans all over the world. The group is accompanied by Fr. Timothy Yun, member of the administration board, at present studying Liturgy in Rome.

Rafo Dropulić took part in the “Prayer and Fasting Seminar”

Rafo Drupulic, the first winner of the “Music Talents Story Super Nova TV Show”, took part in the Prayer and Fasting seminar in silence in the house of prayer “Domus Pacis” in Medjugorje, from February 20 to 26.

Action “In Favour of Life”

Radio “Mir” Medjugorje has started a humanitarian action called “Za život” (In Favour of Life). Cardinal Vinko Puljic, archbishop of Vrhbosna (Sarajevo), President of the Counsel for the Family of the Bishops’ Conference of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has encouraged this project saying that, however, people should not live from donations, but from their own work. “The responsibility of the society is to make it possible that people live from their work.”

Whole-Night Adoration in Medjugorje

In the Year of the Eucharist declared by the Holy Father, there will be a whole-night adorations in the Parish Medjugorje on each 25th of the month, when Our Lady is giving her message.

A New Prayer Initiative: “Co-Workers of the Queen of Peace”

At the end of 2004, a prayer initiative was launched in Zadar under the title “Co-Workers of the Queen of Peace”. Those who are inspired by the calls of the BVM Queen of Peace, decide to spend every day half an hour in prayer. The initiative is a result of regular meetings of a prayer group, which are taking place in Zadar for many years now. As for now, there are 249 registered members, mostly from Croatia, but some “co-workers” are also from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Austria, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Malta, Serbia, Albania, Canada, USA, Argentina and Congo. Passion songs in Medjugorje

On Friday, February 18, after the evening Mass in the parish church, the vocal group “Navalia” from Navalja (Island Pag, Croatia) presented a musical meditation, while singing traditional Passion songs from Navalja.

Feast of Blessed Cardinal Stepinac – Commemoration of the martyr’s death of the Franciscans of the parish Medjugorje

On the Feast of Blessed Cardinal Stepinac, February 10, the parish of Medjugorje commemorates the martyr’s death of the Franciscans from this parish: Fr. Krizan Galic, Fr. Jozo Bencun, Fr. Marko Dragicevic, Fr. Mariofil Sivric, Fr. Grgo Vasilj and Fr. Jenko Vasilj, six out of 66 Franciscans of the Herzegovinian Province, who were killed by Tito’s partisans and communists during and at the very end of the Word War II.

On Saturday, January 8, a prayer group of the Queen of Peace was founded in Rijeka (Croatia) by the pilgrims who are inspired by the call of Our Lady in Medjugorje.

Christmas and New Year in Medjugorje

The days of Christmas and of the New Year always draw to Medjugorje numerous, mostly young pilgrims form all over the world. The Christmas Vigil, in which the parishioners usually represent the majority, began with two hours of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, followed by the Midnight Mass, which ended about 1 am. Fr. Boze Milic and Fr. Ljubo Kurtovic led the Adoration; the Midnight Mass was presided by Fr. Mario Knezovic and concelebrated by numerous, mostly Croatian, priests.

Five concerts given by two Medjugorje choirs under direction of sister Slavica Kozul

In the time of Christmas, the children’s choir “Little doves of peace” and the “Choir of the Queen of Peace” from Medjugorje, under direction of Sister Slavica Kozul gave five concerts in Medjugorje, Sarajevo and Dubrovnik.
