At this time of coronavirus pandemic, all programmes of the international spiritual retreats and this year’s Youth Festival go through various challenges and many events have already been cancelled. Thank God, the situation at the moment allows us to organise this year’s 31st Youth Festival, however, a bit modestly than normally. Most of the programme from Medjugorje is being now sent to the world via electronic media and many faithful are tuned to those on daily basis, from all over the world. In the same way, this year’s Youth Festival would be live streamed and online and we remain connected to all those who, unfortunately, would not be able to come to Medjguorje personally this year.

The visionary Ivanka Ivankovic-Elez had her regular annual apparition on June 25th 2020. At her last daily apparition on May 7, 1985, Our Lady confided to Ivanka the 10th secret and told her that she would have an apparition once a year on the anniversary of the apparitions. It was that way also this year.
The apparition, which lasted 5 minutes (18:40h - 18:45h), took place at Ivanka’s family home. Only Ivanka’s family was present at the apparition. After the apparition, Ivanka said:
Our Lady gave the following message: “Pray, pray, pray.”

On Wednesday, June 24, the Peace Walk will take place from Humac, Shrine of St. Anthony at 4 pm and we are to come to Medjugorje around 10 am. Parish office invites all parishioners and pilgrims, especially the youth to join us in this Walk.

The International Spiritual Retreat for Priests that was to be held from July 6-11, 2020 is being cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lately, many of you have contacted us and shared your difficulties when trying to send your contributions for expanding our live streaming capacities in several languages at our bank accounts. Hereby, we kindly send you our apologies for this.
We need to say that we, too, had difficulties since we sometimes had to pay for bank provision more money than the actual donation (for instance when the amount of couple of euros would be sent). In this way, both you and we were only helping banks.
Finally, at your request, our media centre ICMM was able to open PayPal account and this problem, is thankfully, resolved in that. Now, you are also able to contribute the minimum donation and cover our production, translation and live streaming services to the whole world.

Medjugorje in these days looks empty and there are not many people in the streets, no pilgrims and people of Medjugorje cannot be in the church due to sanitary demands. However, those families are big families with several different generations, and they all pray together every day, particularly the rosary. This Medjugorje liturgy is broadcasted to the whole world too – Holy Mass and Adorations and this is how the connection between Medjugorje, and pilgrims is kept, between all those who are longing for this place and anticipate the time when they would be able to return there.
